It normally takes us all some time before all of us feel as though we are one, nevertheless the Lord says that our holy joining has made us one unit. So within The Lord's eyes we're no longer individuals. When we pray for our spouse we have to pray like we are praying for ourselves, due to the fact that we are.

During a Christian marriage getaway we were attending, there had been a testimony session in which a handful of married couples happen to be picked to express how Jesus has blessed their marriages. One of the testimonies stood out for me mainly because I had never listened to anything like it.
The woman mentioned her husband had an addiction that she had been not aware of for some time. She was a praying women and the more she prayed she sensed something had not been right. She claimed she often felt like another person was in their bed with them. As if her husband was fantasizing about a previous lover or something. She could not figure out what it had been. Her husband eventually confessed his battle with inappropriate adult viewing content. She was glad that he confided in her because now she could pray much more precisely.
She prayed, " Lord, you declared that when my spouse and I got married we became one flesh. I am convinced that where he is fragile I am able to be powerful. Half of my body is troubled with inappropriate adult viewing content. But the other half of my body does not have an addiction to porn. And So I pray using the stronger half of my body and I command this spirit to get out of my marriage in the name of Jesus."
We are all called to intercede with similar confidence and power against the spirits that come against each of our Christian marriages!
Challenge: Ask your husband or wife exactly what one concern, goal or area of their life you can pray for. Then commit time throughout the day making that particular issue your prayer focus for the entire day. There is no need to agree, respond or even have a conversation regarding it in any way.
